About Festival
International Festival of Modern Ballet “Genesis Ballet Festival” will be in the heart of Kyrgyzstan – the city of Bishkek, at the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev.
The main goal of the festival is the development of modern ballet art, the popularization of ballet art in Kyrgyzstan, the exchange of experience between theaters, as well as the acquaintance of the audience with the work of the Israeli composer Baruch Berliner and his Baruch Berliner’s Genesis International Project.
Festival dates – October 16-22, 2023
The festival is held within the framework of cooperation between the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev and Baruch Berliner’s Genesis International Project.
The Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev is the leading theater in Kyrgyzstan, the keeper of the traditions of the national ballet and the heritage of the Kyrgyz culture and the flagship of contemporary art in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The repertoire of the theater includes both classical and modern productions.
The theater has a magnificent hall for 850 seats, made in a classical style, a large stage and equipment for working with video projections.
The symphonic poem “Genesis” is the central work of composer Baruch Berliner and producer Nachum Slutzker, who are the founders and ideological inspirers of the Baruch Berliner’s Genesis International Project.
